Processing conveyor technology

The process - trimming - is linearly integrated into the conveyor route for a shear cut on single copies without bump turners.

Trimming drum SNT-U

Print products are transported overhead, they are introduced into one of the SNT-U Compact trimming drum’s 30 pockets. After initial alignment in the drum, which rotates counter clockwise, the copies are firmly pressed until the head and foot trim is complete. With the drum still rotating, they are pushed outwards under further gentle pressing until the face has been trimmed to format. The drum releases the fully trimmed print work well before it’s made a full turn on its axis.
Only 3.5 sqm space is required.

The clean, high-quality shear cut is achieved in only one rotation of the drum, for

  • Perfect trimming quality on 4 to 350 pages
  • A smooth trim face (no steps from copystream jumping) thanks to the single trimming sequence
  • No knife heating - no need for knife cooling
  • Long-life knifes
  • No problematic bump turns
  • And none of the interruptions and adjustments that occur with bump turns.

Products can be transferred directly to a compensating stacker.

Products can be delivered trimmed or untrimmed directly after the SNT-U to a compensating stacker or are transferred trimmed or untrimmed to one of the following components, i.e. logstacker or winding system
